AGFEST (3-5 May) again turned on its usual complement of weather conditions ranging from wet to sunny.
Thursday dawned wet and muddy with the attendance by school groups down on last year. Friday bought severe wind gusts and Saturday finally turned sunny.
Our marquee within the “Working for a Safer Tasmania” tent saw a steady stream of visitors and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter again created great interest.
This year we teamed up with Surf Lifesaving Tasmania, a recognised partner in our rescue operations for the services provided to the people of Tasmania.
Brochures were distributed and hordes of children proudly displayed the helicopter (temporary) tattoos.
